The Life and Death of a HiTech Patriot - book cover

Book Cover

The cover, as you see, has high symbolic value. Starting as a small soldier, in a small low valued organization, then fighting your way up, getting wounded AND promoted in the process with the organization growing as well in size and financial power, and when finally getting at the top of it all - after years of struggle and success - getting (quite unexpectedly, mind you) the boot. I had several versions of this sequence, and the one used for the real book cover is a compromise between the practicalities of the printing world, the page size, and the file size. The one I used on the book entry page of this site is NOT the one actually printed, rather the one I wanted to have. You have nevertheless access, through the book entry page also to a zoomed twice version of the actually printed cover (zoomed since otherwise it looks quite bad on the screen). Both versions are of a reduced quality - my humble apologies for it - to save download time.

And, of course, what you see depends on the size and quality of your screen. The best version, in my opinion, is the following basic sequence, and you would never have guessed that it was drawn with a mouse(!), would you?:
