Every time I read back my poetry I find “flaws”. Does it mean it was not correct to start with? No, it means my thought processes were different and my interpretation today is different to the one I had when I wrote it, or read it previously. Thus I usually... refrain from corrections, unless I find a blatant typo. And even then... maybe I did it with a purpose I presently lost its intent. What about other readers? Sure, they are important entities in each poet’s life, mine too. However, poets write primarily for themselves. Those who write primarily for others are not poets – they are word mercenaries.
